Wuyang River Scenic Area is located in Zhenyuan, Shibing and Huangping Counties under the jurisdiction of Southeast Guizhou.
The Wuyang River emanates from Weng'an, the hinterland of Mountain Miao, and converges the Yuanjiang River in the west of Hu'nan Province. With the Wuyang River water system playing a linking role, it has canyons, peculiar peaks, cloud scenes and water colors characterized by their charming “grandness, strangeness, gracefulness and secludedness”. There are eight famous canyons here, which are divided into “uper Wuyang” and “lower Wuyang”. There are more than 200 creeks along the river, each with different scenes, and over 200 beaches, with each being interesting in its own way.
